farOpen Art Trail starts this week

Please come along. Something for everyone. More importantly, I’ll be able to show some of the works that simply came from my perspective of being both visually and physically impaired. Still colourful, surreal and thought provoking. Also, beautiful views, accessible gardens and there will be refreshments too.

Brockworth on the Map / Brockworth Surgery Mural

We’re Making a Large Artwork and Looking for Your Creations

We’re doing a large Community Art piece/mural/map at the Brockworth Surgery. It will be a collage of mixed media made from prints and originals, from people of any age living in the local area. The overall effect will be a Colourful Map showing the vast array of venues, groups, helpful charities and things going on throughout Brockworth in Gloucestershire

If you would like to Help in any way, contribute to the Art piece please Pick up a blank card from one of the following Venues: Brockworth Library, Brockworth Community Centre and Brockworth Surgery (Drop Boxes for your finished work can also be found here) other venues to follow. Alternatively you can mail an image of the work to me, PNG/JPG preferred    ( other originals you would like to use, no larger than 15cm x 15cm. Please be aware they may have to be trimmed to fit ) I The finished size of the Art Piece is to be approx. 3m x 1.2m  and will be situated in the Surgery Waiting room.

More details of upcoming Workshops, Events, and other contacts are to follow @ www.StrangewaysJCArt.com   Brockworth on the Map FACEBOOK PAGE or  callaghan_joanne@yahoo.co.uk  Those entries not able to be used in the Art Piece itself will be Shown in an online Gallery with Artist/Group details.

There will be an extended printed format of the Mural displayed at other venues with an index to the side. This would mean that anyone new to the area or doesn’t use the internet can find out who to contact, where to go, when and for how long.

Please contact me for further details such as, bigger groups may want to do something a little larger so that everyone can have a hand in it’s creation. Interesting  Logo’s, unusual representations of venues rather than the building itself ( we already have a number of photo’s of most of the parks, churches, Library and community centre etc). So Have a go, you Don’t to be an artist to send something.
